The new Caru’ cu bere
Only in 2006, did the descendants of the founder Nicolae MIRCEA succeed to retake the possession and administration of the Caru’ cu Bere building and, in a first stage, they conducted restoration works to recreate the environment of the establishment and the quality and real history of this unique building.
At present, restoration works at the façade are being conducted. The owners hope they will be able to proceed with consolidation, rehabilitation and remodeling works for the entire building. They also plan to transform the “non-commercial” spaces of the building (the first and second floors and the attic) into a new cultural and memorial establishment: the History of Caru’ cu Bere – Nicolae MIRCEA, founder.
